Same burner used for the HobbyMelter™ furnaces!
For those who have asked to buy only the burner for their own furnace or forge, here it is!
This is the same propane burner burner used for the HobbyMelter™ furnaces and kits. It will even work in certain blacksmith forge designs and small kilns (please determine for yourself if this burner is correct for that). You can build your own burner from instructions online, but if you can't or just prefer to buy, here's your chance.
The burner does not require any blower because it is of the "self-aspirated" or "atmospheric" type. In other words the high pressure jet of propane gas sucks in the necessary air for combustion.
This also means that it requires a high pressure regulator. The regulators used for a propane barbecue grill are low pressure and will not work. High pressure regulators are available in welding supply stores, some restaurant supply stores and online. You'll of course also need to provide the propane tank and hose. This burner functions over a range of gas pressures from about 5 to 20 PSI.

This burner is not recommended for use outside of the furnace, forge or kiln. I have it outside of the furnace in the photo to clearly show the flame. To use the burner outside of an enclosed chamber (such as a metalcasting furnace) a flare is required on the tip of the burner. The flare is the tapered section that the flame exits out of in the photo. Just like the flared tip of a propane soldering torch, this flared area keeps the flame from blowing out. Some blacksmith forges and kilns with spacious internal volume will require the use of a flare to maintain ignition. Most foundry furnaces do not require them.
Flares can be rolled from sheetmetal (like the one in the photo) forged from pipe, or purchased. A flare is not included with this burner.
